I am very keen on going to Europe for my honeymoon in the 3rd week of november. Preferably Switzerland. Does it make sense or is it too cold. I am ok with temperatures ranging 2-10 degress centigrade. Will it be colder than this? Any other mountains other than Switzerland that I can visit? Anything in Austria or Greece? I have heard these two places are also very beautiful

Preferrably Switzerland? Yes of course it will be cold! November is Winter. You might be lucky and find temps within 2-10 but they will most likely be to the lower of that range if not lower. In my experience, the two countries that are milder in the Winter (especially in the beginning of Winter) are Spain and Greece and probably also Portugal and Turkey seeing as they are close by and similar in temperature.
Austria and Switzerland are very beautiful and worth the visit but they are more north in situation and will be cold! Whereas the other countries I mentioned are more south and much milder.
I live in Greece and in November, during the days, all is required is perhaps a cardigan or a denim jacket but maybe something a little warmer in the evening. In the days, you couldnt tell it was Winter. Our days are beautiful and bright and sunny all year round. Just a cardigan and you are set. But you will have to visist a larger island or city because the smaller places close up over Winter for tourism, that is unless you like it quiet. Thessaloniki is beautiful, or one of the bigger islands, Crete, Santorini, Rhodes….etc
But the whole point about Switzerland and Austria is that their tourism are also popular within Winter. So it still might be interesting to visit there. Just think of you and your hubby sipping champagne on a fur rug by the fire!
Switzerland will be a great place for a honeymoon! I suggest visiting Interlaken which is in the middle of Switzerland (probably further south though) and sits on a lake, There’s a great ski resort and is great for couples! Go to Vienna in Austria, great skiing places and yes it can get very very cold at night!!!!!
In Greece, I suggest visiting as well as Athens, Santorini which is the most pretty, beautiful greek island in all the islands. The white and blue houses will inspire you and the water shines in the beaming hot sun! Greece, as it is further south will not be as cold as Switzerland or Austria! Yes, just take a cardigan for the nights as it can get a wee bit chilly. Have fun, hope I helped!
i think you should go to prague. november is beautiful time of year, very nice temperature. plus it’s very romantic. i’d also recommend spain, especially madrid. very affordable, plus the weather is so nice.
