Destination ideas for a honeymoon this October?

I live in New Hampshire and I’m planning a honeymoon trip for this October. I know it’s hurricane season in the carribean, so I’m looking for ideas on where to go? I’m trying to stay away from anywhere in the pacific since it would be SUCH a long flight for me. Any ideas?

    Barbados in the Caribbean.
We are the most eastward island in the Caribbean chain, and hence, we rarely get affected by hurricanes.
Plus our weather is pretty good. In October you have the odd rain spray but it’s okay most of the time.
    Pack sunblock! :)

You could try the ABC islands (Aruba being one of them), Trinidad & Tobago or Barbados (the last two are basically out of the hurricane belt.

Maybe try the Apple Vacations website and see if you get good deals for that month.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes, the Pacific destinations (hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti) are very long flights from the East Coast. Hurricane season is technically June-1st, to November 30th. So October is smack in the middle of this season. Sandals Resorts have 4 possibilities for you in St. Lucia and Antigua. These islands are much further south than Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos. For that reason, hurricanes tend to pass them by.
Sandals are all-inclusive, including SCUBA, so a great value, lots of fun activities, and good food and drink! What more could you want?

I know you said that you don’t want to go, but Tahiti (if you can afford it) is such a beautiful place. We sat on a plane for 12.5 long, long hours but after arriving we knew it was worth it. The scenery, the people, the food, the weather were all fantastic.

But if you’re determined to go to the Caribbean, the go-to choice would be the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao). Bonaire is the quietest of the 3 since a great portion of their island and waters are set aside as nature preserves. Aruba has a lot of hotels to choose from and some phenomenal restaurants.
