You have done your fair share (if not more) of preparing for you wedding and the glorious honeymoon after it. After scouring various travel and wedding boards reading about top honeymoon destinations, you and your spouse finally choose the perfect place. Doing some intense comparison shopping, you found the best honeymoon package for you and hubby. So thrilled and excited, you shout from the rooftops (or just at Twitter or Facebook) that you had found the best honeymoon package for the best honeymoon destination for the perfect romantic getaway.
Off you went, ticking off every item on your honeymoon checklist. Your head filling with beautiful sunset landscapes and intimate nights, you packed everything needed for your perfect honeymoon. And you have the best time there, too! You gush at all your friends and relatives about how great everything and everyone had been. You show them your pictures and they go oh-so-silent instead of noisily envious… No wonder, because they are looking at the worst photos ever.
Don’t let that happen! Here are a few tips to perfectly documenting your honeymoon:
- Familiarize yourself with your equipment. Yes, read the user’s manual for once.
- Thank your lucky stars for digital cameras! Review your photos on the spot, so a quick reshot can be done if a photo is imperfect.
- Bring backup memory and batteries. At least make sure to bring the charger. If your device has limited storage, transfer image files at the end of each day.
- Make sure you and your spouse are both in the photos–chum up fellow honeymooners or hotel and restaurant staff. Either that, or make full use of a tripod.
- Think about what you will do with the photos. Are you into scrapbooking? Be sure to capture more impromptu photos for a fun project. If you plan on sharing your photos online, use a lower resolution for most of the pictures.
- Experiment with your techniques–play with focus, angles, and centering. It’s better to err on the safe side and take more photos than you need, instead of the reverse.
